Mosques

Mosques act as  spiritual sanctuaries for communities. Much of Mosque design in the UK is rooted in pastiche, a desire to mimic styles from the  Arab world or central Asia, perhaps reflective of the communities who first pioneered in establishing them. Yet the history of Mosque design tells a different story, a story of importance and elegance with a local vernacular.

KUFIC Architects approach Mosque design from this perspective, seeking to root our design ethos within the local context. Our Mosque design seeks to create spaces which compliment their surroundings in their distinct British style, while at the same time representing something 'other-worldly'.
